SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transporation Authority) runs the city bus system which also makes getting to the 'burbs very easy.
Parks and Recreation - Fairmount Park is the largest inner-city park in the world! Overall, there are over 8,900 acres in the Fairmount Park system, including parks, historic buildings, golf courses, athletic fields, and miles of trails. Many of the parks and public spaces in Center City are well-maintained by private businesses, charitable organizations, and neighborhood "Friends" groups, who work in partnership with the Fairmount Park Commission.
